Runs On:
Ad Eagle Suite was originally developed for Unix operating systems. This
was quickly changed. It will run on virtually any machine: Unix / Linux,
Win NT /2000 / XP Cobalt. Contact us if you have concerns about your
operating system being compatible. [download]
[purchase]

Unlimited
Rotations:
Rotations are basically
groups of ads. Ad Eagle Suite gives you unlimited rotations so you can
serve different groups of ads to different websites or areas of your
site.
If you have removed all of the banners in a specific rotation, but don't
want to go through all of your html pages to change the calls to the
program, that is quite alright. If a rotation no longer exists or has no
ads associated with it, the default rotation will be used. When banners
are again added to that rotation, it will begin functioning again. [download]

With or Without SSI:
Can't or don't want to use
SSI throughout your site? No problem. Ad-Eagle can run your ads without
SSI and you still have the full power of Ad-Eagle. A non-SSI banner can
be seen at the top of most pages within this site. [download]

Banners
Auto Expire
Each banner can
have it's own individual method of expiration. If you set it to expire
by views, and set the number of views to be 1000, as soon as that banner
has been shown 1000 times it will be removed from the database. If you
set an ad to expire by clicks, it will expire when it has been clicked
on the set number of times. You can also have an ad expire on a specific
date.
But what if the client calls you up the next day, telling you that
he/she was about to send you a check for another thousand views? No
problem! When the program removes a banner it emails you the current
information on file for that banner, so when Mrs. Smith calls you to
complain about being removed from the rotation while she was in vacation
at the North Pole, with no way to get a check to you, you can just cut
the information out of the email, paste it into the administration area,
and the banner is back in business. More on that in the
Users Guide. [order]

Expire
by days, views, clicks or never...
As stated above, each banners
method of expiration is set individually from the admin when you add the
banner to a rotation. One field has a select box from which you chose
the expire method, with a field to enter the number of days, views or
clicks for that banner. Ads can expire by views, clicks, or even on a
specific date.
If you allow more than one banner for a client you can simply split the
totals between the banners.
Example:
John Smith has sent three banners, and a check paying for three thousand
views. You don't want each banner to be shown three thousand times for a
total of nine thousand views when he has only paid for three.
So you set each of Mr. Smith's banners to expire after One Thousand
views. When he logs into his stats area he will see the individual views
for each banner, as well as the total views for all three. ( He will
also see the number of clicks each banner has received, and that total).
When each banner hits one thousand views it will be deleted, the three
banners being removed very close to the same time, with the total views
being three thousand. [download]

Client
Stats Area
Clients
have a password entered into the system when their banners are added. At
any time they can log into the client admin to view their stats. Once
they enter the stats area with their username and password they are
shown a page containing their banners, the views and clicks for each,
the expiration method, and the number of days, views or clicks that are
remaining for each.
They are also shown the total views and clicks for all banners, and the
email address that is on file for them. The script can be accessed from
any html page you wish to use as the log-in page, and if someone uses a
username and password that is not found in the system, they are bounced
back to the login page. [download]

File
Upload Area
This feature is
just a little added convenience. In the administration area is an upload
page with five file fields where you can upload your banner images from
your computer. It reports file information for each item sent to the
server, as do all other actions performed from the administration
area. [download]

Automatic
and Manual System Backups
The
standard version of Ad Eagle allowed daily backups. With Ad Eagle
Suite you can set the backups to be executed as often as you
like, using an "Every 'N' Hours" method. This gives high traffic sites
even more protection. Working with text files, it is possible to lose
data under heavy traffic if the server "burps" or hangs up, or otherwise
misbehaves while a data file is open. You have a choice of automatic
file backups ( without cron, though of course you are also able to use
it if it is available to you ) or manual backups with the click of a
button, or both !
If a banner's data file somehow gets wiped out, the system automatically
replaces the bad file with the latest backed-up copy, without missing a
beat. No broken images, and no hunting for the problem. This enables you
to provide more assurance to your customers that if one
of their banner's stats somehow gets corrupted, they will be replaced
with the latest backed-up copies. So, if anything, they would gain a few
impressions.
From the administration area you can set the time that you want daily
back-ups to be done, turn them on and off, or do a backup any time you
wish with the click of a button. A full report is then emailed to you,
listing the banners that were backed up, and informing you of any
errors, if any, that were encountered while doing the backup. [download]

Display
Banners In Other Scripts
If you
have other CGI scripts that display generate pages, you can use the
include_ads.pl file to show banners in these scripts as well. The
program allows you to do this with very little effort, and of course the
everything will operate the exact same way as when calling banners from
normal html pages. Of course you can also use the non-SSI method to
display ads in generated pages. [download]

Add Text
Beneath Banners
Adding text
beneath your banners gives you the opportunity to say a little something
extra. This system allows you to chose whether or not you want a banner
to have this linked text or not. The text is linked to the same url as
that banner. So you can add alt text, as well as the linked text, each
saying something different about the product or service that is being
advertised. [download]
[purchase]

Text Only Ads
Ad Eagle Suite is not
just for running Banner ads. You can run text only ads, using SSI, and
have views and clicks tracked the same as with banners. The text for
these ads is set when you install the system, and can be changed at any
time in the administration area. Another option to offer your clients!
[download] [purchase]

HTML &
Rich Media Ads
Ad Eagle Suite allows you to
run any HTML you wish as a functioning ad. This could be used to rotate
plain HTML code such as tables, or to rotate rich media code. Again,
views and clicks are tracked using the same methods as the regular
banner ads. See the Users
Guide for details on running HTML / Rich Media ads. [download]

mod_perl
Support
High traffic sites can
run the ad serving scripts under mod_perl. This is highly recommended,
as it greatly increases load time for your ads, and decreases the system
resources consumed by the program. A properly configured mod_perl server
can give you lightning fast results! We have clients serving millions of
ads per day using mod_perl. For more information on mod-perl please
visit http//perl.apache.org

Banner
Attributes
When inserting standard
banner ads, you can define the image width, height, etc. You can also
add text beneath your ads which serves as a text link to allow you to
say a little more in addition to the banner iteslf. [download]
[purchase]

Anti-Caching
Features
Ad Eagle Suite uses
advanced anti-caching features to ensure that browsers do not show a
cached copy of your ads, and that they are rotated properly on your
pages.
Suspend Ads
Each banner can
be suspended with the click of a button in the administration area. Then
the ad will not run until you restore it, which also takes just a mouse
click. More on that in the
Users Guide. [download]
[purchase]

Suspend Clients
A specific client
can be suspended the same way as an individual banner. Their data
remains in the system, and is still accessible to them in the clients
login area, and to you in the administration area. Suspended clients
banners are not displayed again until you either reactivate a banner, or
reinstate the client. [download]

Set hours and days for an Ad to run on
When adding new ads you may specify
specific hours and days that you want this ad to run on. So, you could
have an ad rotate from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, or any other
combination of hours and days. We do suggest that you use this feature
only as needed in order to keep the work the system does to a minimum.
If you have hundreds of ads all set to run at different times
needlessly, you are making the system work harder than need be.

Set ratios for each ad
When adding new ads you may specify a
ratio for it. Setting an ad to 3:1 will cause the system to show this ad
three times before moving on to the next ad in that rotation. Please see
the Users Guide for
more information on how the ratios work.

Expire
on specific date
The standard Ad
Eagle allows you to have ads expire in "N" days for banners that are set
to expire by data. With Ad Eagle Suite, you instead set a
specific date to have these ads expire on. No setting ads to expire in
30 days. Instead you select the exact date you want the ad to expire on:
July 02, 2005 for example. [download]

Start
running later
This
system allows you to add banners or other ads and have them set to begin
running on some date in the future. So, if a client comes to you ready
to advertise, but doesn't want their campaign to begin until the
following month, you can still enter their ads into the system. You just
set the ads to begin running on whatever date your client wishes to
begin on! [download]

Add
Banners to Multiple Rotations
When
adding banners you can now add to more than one rotation at a time. Each
add still will be completely editable, but this makes implementing ads
across multiple rotations a snap! [download]
[purchase]

Default
Rotations
Each rotation
now has a default specified, so if you have rotations running different
types of ads, or banners of different sizes, you can create default
rotations to cover each of these and then when you can associate any
existing rotation with the appropriate default. So, if you have a
rotation of text only ads, and they all expire, you won't have to worry
about a banner ad appearing in that spot if you have a default set that
contains only text ads. [download]

Multiple
Administrator Logins
Ad Eagle
Suite has multiple administrator logins, allowing you to delegate your
advertising management to more than one individual. This is extremely
helpful if you have several unique areas in your website that you want
to be controlled by different staff members. Each sub administrator can
control the clients and rotations that are assigned to them. They do not
see those belonging to other administrators. This makes splitting up the
work of ads management a breeze, while still giving the "super user"
full access to all clients and rotations in the system. Each sub-admin
has their own username and password and does not have access to the
system configurations. They can add new advertising clients and
rotations and use the less critical configurations, such as assigning
defaults for their rotations, suspending / reactivating clients, etc.
This feature also enables web hosting companies to offer Ad Eagle Suite
as an advertising management system to their hosting clients. See the
Users Guide for more
information.

Email Clients
From the administration
area, when viewing ads for a client, you can go to a form which allows
you to send a customizable email to that client. The form automatically
places their banner stats in the message unless you chose to take it
out. This can be used for notify them of due payments, that their
campaign soon needs renewing, or whatever you wish. [download]

System
Configs
All of the system
configurations are editable from within the administration area. No need
to edit scripts manually - just make your changes and click a button! [download]

Third
Party Ads
Ad Eagle Suite allows you to
serve and track third party ads, such as those from Microsoft B Central,
Ad Force, etc. Add them to the system like you would any other ad. Some
will require you to use HTML ads so that you can insert all of there
code - but that is not a problem of course.
Serve
To Multiple Websites
With Ad Eagle Suite serving
ads to remote websites is a snap. Just grab the code from the code
generator in the admin area, and you are ready to go. License
restrictions apply: Single site licenses do not allow serving to other
sites. [download]

Timed Refresh
Want certain ads to refresh
automatically? No problem. The code generator now includes code for auto
refreshing ads. Great for areas where a visitor spends a lot of time on
one page of your site. You get to set how may seconds between refreshes.
